    Wow. That just blew my mind.

    Worth buying the whole of Season 1 of Dollhouse on DVD just for Epitaph One.

    Totally! We watched the unaired pilot (which was better than the aired one, IMO), and then watched Epitaph One. Wow!

    Although the first two episodes of season 2 haven't been great so far... :-/ I keep reading headlines about how Dollhouse's ratings have totally tanked and that it's unlikely to be renewed. :( :( :( I hate how Fox put Dollhouse on Friday nights again. It should be following Fringe on Thursdays!

    Trust me. The show gets so much better after episode 6.

    It's been renewed. In America they've already started showing Season 2.

    No, I know that it got better after episode 6. I watched all of season 1 as it aired here in the States. Loved it. But I've only watched the unaired pilot and Epitaph One so far.

    And I know that season 2 is going; that's what I was talking about. :) I've watched the S2 episodes that have aired so far, but they haven't been as good as season 1, post ep. 6. And the stories have been that ratings for season 2 are horrible and as of right now, it's unlikely they'll get renewed for a 3rd season. But we'll see.

    I get the feeling that Fox is interfering with the Dollhouse writers again in season 2, forcing them to do too much recapping to catch up new viewers, and as such, the first two episodes haven't been that great. [sigh]

    Ack. I meant, "But I've only watched the unaired pilot and Epitaph One ON THE DVDS so far."

    Epitaph One seems to be Whedon's equivalent of Babylon 5's The Deconstruction of Falling Stars. It gives the series a clear end-point so that even if it does get cancelled the story will still make sense.

    @denise: :O

    @adewale: Sort of. I've seen in an interview with Joss Whedon that Epitaph One doesn't necessarily signify how it all ends. He said that it was a remembered episode, so some things may turn out differently from how it was retold in EO. At any rate, it's an awesome post-apocalyptic view of how things could be in the future because of the Dollhouse and I am interested to see how it plays out. Hopefully even if season 2 doesn't get a renewal, they're able to end it properly, or continue it on another network or even via comic books like Buffy and Angel are continuing.

    I hate to admit this publicly but I'm not a huge fan of the Whedon comics. I stopped reading the Angel comic because the characters were no longer consistent with the TV show.

    As for the Buffy comic...I'm not really sure that shoe-horning the Buffy cast into a different medium actually works that well. The storylines take forever to resolve (because they're published monthly) and after a while it starts to feel like a somewhat boring parody of the TV show.

    We actually haven't finished watching Buffy or Angel yet, so I haven't read the comics. But yeah, I can see how the publishing frequency of the comics can hamper the flow of the storylines...
